The Malaysian Insider
According to the national news agency, the regulation is being prepared by experts from the Chemistry Department, Malaysia Islamic Development Department (Jakim) and state Islamic religious councils, and is expected to be completed within few months.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 5 — Traders will soon be made to disclose the halal status of their leather goods under new regulation being drawn up by the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry, Bernama Online reported today.
